Pieta - MichelangeloMichelangelo Buonarroti is to most of us known as just Michelangelo and has an important part in the history of Rome and the Vatican. If you visit Rome without spending a day around Michelangelo you haven’t really visited Rome at all. Michelangelo was born 1475 and when he was around 20 he finished one of the most famous sculptures of the history, the Pieta. You can find the Pieta in the Vatican to the right once you enter St Peters Basilica.

Michelangelos life ended 4 years after finishing The last judgement in the Sistine Chapel a mission given to hime by the pope Paulus III.
