Forget the Sangria, that’s way too typical. A more traditional Spanish cocktail is the Agua de Valencia. Still a pitcher-served drink, this cocktail was created in 1959 as a challenge from a group of Basque travellers who were bored with their usual tipple of their local bar’s finest Cava. The barman proceeded to mix the cava with orange juice, vodka and gin to create a tasty new concoction that is now popular in clubs and bars across Spain.
